Overview

An integral RT QA center within the IROC network

IROC Philadelphia RT operates through two teams: one based at the University of Pennsylvania and one based at the American College of Radiology in Philadelphia. Together, we support NCTN clinical trials with data review, dosimetry, and methodological research.

Services

Quality assurance for clinical trials

• Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures for advanced imaging and radiotherapy.
• Consult with NCTN groups during protocol design to align QA with trial hypotheses.
• Conduct and support research on radiotherapy treatment planning and evaluation.
• Maintain qualification & standards; ensure protocol‑specified RT and imaging are delivered.
• Assist with data submission, case management, and nomenclature standardization.
• Provide dosimetry support for radiopharmaceutical therapy (e.g., Ra‑223, Lu‑177).
